Wrexham drew against Barnet after a dramatic sending-off that saw Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney criticize opposition goalkeeper Laurie Walker.
After Saturday's red card, Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney criticized Barnet goalkeeper Laurie Walker.
Notts County closed the deficit after the National League leaders drew in north London. Wrexham played the final 40 minutes with 10 men after Callum McFadzean was sent off for kicking the goalkeeper.
The defender left a foot in, but McFadzean was startled to be sent off. After the deadlock, Walker tweeted at Reynolds, asking if he might star in his next film after Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson accused him of exploiting the situation, before deleting it.
"@VancityReynolds" he said. How's my acting, mate? I may be in your next film. "Your gaffer thinks I could". Reynolds tweeted "Oof". "I thought ‘own goals' could only happen during the actual game," McElhenney stated after the goalkeeper appeared to change his mind.
Parkinson insulted the referee and goalkeeper after attacking the Barnet shotstopper. "I'm not happy with the referee's sending off," he said.
The referee made a mistake with the mild red card—his trailing leg, no intent.
