After the offseason departures of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, the Kansas City Chiefs receiving corps will look a little different next season.
However, it appears that standout quarterback Patrick Mahomes has already found a new target who he is enthused about.
Patrick Mahomes lauded second-year wide receiver Justyn Ross during a news conference this week, admitting that he worked with him during the offseason and that the former Clemson wide receiver "works his tail off."
"Yeah, I mean, the talent is through the roof," Mahomes remarked, according to USAToday.com's Charles Goldman.
Even though he wasn't active the entire year, he was in the building and saw the guys and how we do things.
Listening and participating in meetings, among other things. I'm happy for him, man.
To be able to get out there and practice, to get the little fine stuff that we like to do in this offense."
