Miles Bridges will serve 10 of a 30-game NBA suspension without pay for domestic violence against his children's mother.
He was arrested for felony domestic abuse in June and pled no contest in November, receiving three years of probation and no jail time.
The NBA investigated the 25-year-old after two further charges were dropped.
On Friday, Bridges learned the league's punishment.
Due to the action he has already missed, the NBA only required him to sit out 10 more games of the punishment if he gets a deal for next season.
The league said it investigated. "The 30-game suspension is based on all facts and circumstances of this matter and considers the conduct and its result, as well as the outcome of the criminal matter, among other factors," it stated.
After his arrest and plea, Mr. Bridges did not sign an NBA contract for 2022-23, missing all 82 games. In light of such, the NBA has counted 20 games of the punishment as served."
