The Golden State Warriors host the Sacramento Kings in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday. Warriors need a win after falling behind 2-0.
They must win without Draymond Green. Monday's Game 2 saw Green booted for stepping on Sacramento's Domantas Sabonis. Green received a game suspension on Tuesday.
Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, said today that Draymond Green has been banned without pay for stepping on Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis' chest.
"Green's history of unsportsmanlike acts contributed to the suspension," the NBA said Tuesday night. Green reacted to Sabonis grasping and gripping his right ankle after collapsing.
Sabonis received a technical foul and Green was dismissed for a Flagrant 2. Green's biggest "unsportsmanlike act" occurred in 2016.
He swiped LeBron James' crotch after he was walked over in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was suspended for Game 5, which the Cavaliers won after trailing 3-1. The Warriors lost Game 1 on Saturday 126-123 and Game 2 on Monday 114-106.
