The Ravens may comply or Jackson may sit out the 2023 season. The Ravens may trade with the Patriots.
On FanDuel TV's Up and Adams, former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski noted that while Bill Belichick "dreamed" of having a mobile quarterback like Jackson, meeting Jackson's contract demands is impossible.
Gronkowski told Kay Adams that Belichick wanted a quarterback who could run and pass. “I feel like he likes those types of quarterbacks from all the times he talked about them in meetings and stuff when we were going against them.”
He dismissed Jackson traveling to New England. “He has to pay him $50-plus million,” Gronkowski stated. “Belichick is not paying $50-
plus million for a quarterback. That makes it a bad fit right away. I don't think that'll drop."
Gronkowski also addressed the Patriots' quarterback dilemma during this presentation. He also dubbed a Pro Football Talk article on the team shopping Mac Jones "fake news."
