Charles Oakley can relate to Warriors forward Draymond Green because he's a tough, physical player.
Green was suspended by the NBA late Tuesday for standing on Kings center Domantas Sabonis' chest in the 4th quarter of the Warriors' 114-106 Game 2 loss to Sacramento.
He received a technical foul before being removed for a Flagrant 2 foul.
On Wednesday, Oakley, who received 168 technical fouls in his 19-year NBA career, defended Green on 95.7 The Game's 'Willard & Dibs'.
"I think Draymond [Green] was protecting himself. I feel bad for the Warriors, who are missing their anchor. "He's got to be careful when he comes back from suspension," Oakley added.
Green was spotted arguing with Kings fans behind the Warriors' bench while officials examined the play for a flagrant penalty.
Oakley believes the NBA was more disturbed about his fan contacts than Sabonis's incident.
On Thursday night at the Chase Center, the Warriors will face Sacramento in Game 3 to escape a 3-0 deficit.
