The LSU Tigers played the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Tuesday. The LSU Tigers were the best team in the country. That might not be the case after the Tigers were shocked by a crazy upset.
In this game, Louisiana had to deal with some problems early on that showed they were here to play.
With two outs in the bottom of the first, LSU would get on the board first with a triple that drove in a run to take the lead early in the game.
In this game, it didn't take long for Louisiana to answer with a strong attack of their own. In the top of the third inning, Heath Hood's two-run home run broke a tie of 2-2.
This would give them a lead they wouldn't give up. They went on to score four more runs and won 8-5, thanks in large part to another two-run home run by outfielder Conor Higgs in the seventh inning.
Beating the team that is ranked number one is a big deal. To do so against an in-state foe like Louisiana did makes it even sweeter.
People all over college baseball took to social media to talk about how shocked they were by the Ragin' Cajuns' win.
