The Arizona Cardinals are adding a fourth quarterback to their team to work on skills during the summer
Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV in Houston says that the Cardinals will sign Jeff Driskel, who used to play quarterback for the Houston Texans.
Earlier in the week, Driskel tried out for the Cardinals.
Kyler Murray is recovering from a torn ACL, and Colt McCoy had an unknown minor offseason procedure that was supposed to limit him in the offseason program.
Driskel has moved around in the NFL since the San Francisco 49ers picked him in the sixth round of the 2016 draft.
After being let go before the 2016 season, he joined the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played until 2018, though he only played in one game.
In 2019, he started three games for the Detroit Lions, three for the Denver Broncos, and eight games (two starts) for the Texans over the last two years.
In his career, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound quarterback has completed 59.2% of his passes for 2,228 yards, 14 scores, and eight picks.
