According to TMZ, a Florida judge has ordered that Brown be arrested by police for failure to pay child support.
On April 14, a Miami-Dade County Judge issued the order. Brown is accused of failing to make due payments to Wiltrice Jackson, the mother of one of his six children.
Brown must pay $30,000 in addition to outstanding child support in order to be released from custody.
Brown's arrest warrant has not been issued for the first time. Last December, he was charged with battery and domestic abuse and a warrant was issued for his arrest. However, it was eventually withdrawn before Brown was arrested.
Brown's week has also been difficult. A celebrity jeweler has sued Brown, alleging that he owes him more than $1 million
Brown was reportedly removed off the field by security at a recent Arena Football League game. Brown's bright NFL career was destroyed in large part due to off-field troubles.
During his nine years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was named to seven Pro Bowls and twice led the league in receiving yards. However,
he has only appeared in 16 games in the five seasons afterwards, with none since 2021. Brown declared last month that he has no plans to return to the NFL.
