Aaron Rodgers joining the 49ers was always a long shot.
But at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the 39-year-old pro took that possibility off the table.
Colt Knost of CBS asked Rodgers if he had any news while the quarterback was teeing off. Rodgers replied after a short pause.
Rodgers said, "I'm not going to San Francisco."
This isn't a big surprise given what head coach Kyle Shanahan said at the end of the season news conference about the team's future at quarterback.
If the 49ers wanted the four-time MVP, they might have also run into other problems.
