In a report seen Tuesday (18 April), Los Angeles coroners said Aaron Carter's death was an accident.
In November 2022, the singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, Aaron Carter, was found dead at the age of 34.
The sedative alprazolam, which is often sold under the brand name Xanax, and the compressed gas difluoroethane were both found in his system.
The report says that difluoroethane is "a gas commonly used as a propellant in air spray cleaners" and that breathing it in "can cause feelings of euphoria."
The report said that the two drugs made him unable to move in the tub, which led to him dying.
At the time, a spokesperson told The Independent, "We are extremely saddened and shocked to confirm that Aaron Carter has died today."
In the last few years, Carter had a lot of problems with drugs and was arrested several times for them.
Later that year, his self-titled debut album came out. His second album, Aaron's Party (Come and Get It), went triple platinum after it came out in 2000.
