Michael Lombardi says that Lamar Jackson told the Ravens that he wants the front office to add to their group of receivers.
During the most recent episode of "The Lombardi Line," a former NFL general manager said that Jackson told the Ravens to get both Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins.
He would supposedly talk about a long-term extension if these requests were met.
"I was told by someone who was there that Lamar told them, 'Get Hopkins and get Beckham, and then we can talk,'" said the person
The team told them that they couldn't get Hopkins and Beckham. We can't afford to get both of them, but we'll get one, and they got Beckham," Lombardi said.
Lombardi said that it would be hard to trade Hopkins because he wants a pay raise. Still, fans of the Ravens would love to see Hopkins play for the team this fall.
@100kSTO "Damn both would’ve been elite" @Maverick1914 Lombardi…take that with a grain of salt.
This season, the Ravens put the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson. Talks about a deal haven't gotten anywhere so far.
