Al-Nassr confirmed Rudi Garcia's mutual departure, with Cristiano Ronaldo set to have a major role in his replacement's hiring.
As Rudi Garcia left Al-Nassr, Ronaldo wished him well.
On Thursday, the Saudi club announced the Frenchman's mutual departure after less than a year. According to a statement, Rudi Garcia left Al-Nassr by mutual agreement.
The board and Al-Nassr personnel appreciate Rudi and his crew for their hard work over the past eight months.
Garcia leaves Al-Nassr second despite Ronaldo's January arrival. The 38-year-old scored 11 goals in his first 10 Saudi Pro League games after signing a record-setting £173million contract.
Despite that skill, Ronaldo's team is three points behind Al-Ittihad. Garcia leaves after losing two of their past four league matches, including a disappointing draw with Al Feiha.
Portugal said that Ronaldo was unhappy with the club's direction under the ex-Lyon manager. He told Diario AS that a new manager will improve their play.
