Anthony Morrow was a journeyman in the NBA for nine years, from 2008 to 2017.
During that time, Morrow played for a number of teams, including the Golden State Warriors, the New Jersey Nets, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is now in the news for some scary things.
After an incident in mid-February, Morrow is accused of choking and punching a woman at her Uptown Charlotte apartment.
The 37-year-old man was arrested on Feb. 10 and paid $15,000 bail to get out of jail two days later.
According to the Mecklenburg County Sherriff's office, he is now facing multiple charges, including assault by strangulation, making threats, and kidnapping in the second degree.
Morrow is said to have killed the woman he was dating at the time by "squeezing her neck with his hands," according to WSOC-TV 9 (ABC/Telemundo) in Charlotte.
"Morrow denies these charges," his lawyer told Channel 9.
Morrow's lawyer told Channel 9 that Morrow trusts our legal system and believes the evidence will exonerate him.
