After a controversial sideline altercation with Suns owner Matt Ishbia, Nuggets center Nikola Jokic received a technical foul in Game 4.
Jokic briefly addressed the incident with Ishbia after the game, calling Phoenix's owner a "fan."
He said I elbowed the fan, but the fan touched me first. I thought the league protected us, or whatever...” Jokic told Brandon Krisztal
Jokic said he knew "the fan" was the Suns owner, but at the time, Ishbia was just a fan.
So his hands on me won't protect me? Protect the fan? Jokic said. He affects the game. If he's influencing the game, he should be ejected."
Jokic may be fined or suspended by the league for his dispute with Ishbia.
On Sunday, Jokic set a Nuggets franchise record with 53 points in the 129–124 loss, but the first-half incident with the Suns owner was the main talking point.
Jokic said he thought Ishbia should have been ejected, and he wasn't happy with the league's response.
