The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback's Twitter account has been verified once more.
Twitter removed the verified blue checkmark from every account that had not paid for a Twitter Blue subscription on Thursday.
Patrick Mahomes was just one of several people that had their verified status revoked from their accounts.
Brett Veach, the Chiefs' general manager, discusses the possibility of renegotiating Mahomes' deal.
"Let me get my blue check back!" Mahomes tweeted to Twitter CEO Elon Musk. With a few laughing emojis to match.
Mahomes received his verification badge back on Saturday, presumably without having to pay for it.
"Appreciate it," the two-time NFL MVP said in a tweet to Musk on Saturday.
Musk explicitly paid for at least three celebrities' checkmarks: LeBron James, Stephen King, and William Shatner.
