The 2023 NFL Draft is quickly approaching after many, many months of analysis and rumors.
And as the draft approaches, one of the craziest rumors to date has begun to circulate.Tony Pauline, an NFL draft analyst for Pro Football Network,
tweeted on Saturday, "Latest- The Cardinals are receiving calls from teams that want to move up to the third pick and then select an offensive lineman."
Not informed which OT is being targeted."Pauline is one of the most well-connected NFL draft sources, so whenever he reveals a nugget such as this, it is important to take it seriously.
Moreover, this suggestion is quite impressive. It was assumed that the Arizona Cardinals would be eager to trade the No. 3 overall selection,
given that they already have a quarterback in Kyler Murray and are a rebuilding team with multiple other needs.
As the Chicago Bears did with the No. 1 selection, it makes sense for Arizona to trade its selection for a large amount of draft capital rather than selecting a single player.
The Carolina Panthers (especially after trading up from No. 9) and Houston Texans may remain in place, so the Cardinals should receive a great deal of interest for the No. 3 decision.
