Court records show that a former Cincinnati Bengals player has been given a six-month jail term.
Sports Illustrated said that Michael Johnson will have to go to jail for 180 days.
Former defensive end was sentenced because he didn't pay his wife $96,000 in legal fees, child support, and spousal support.
His wife and her lawyer told Sports Illustrated that Johnson has more than $10 million in assets but hasn't paid the money he owes.
Johnson was put forward by the Bengals for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2017.
Since 2018, he hasn't played in the NFL.
