"The 718 Cayman GT4 and Spyder, along with the 718 Boxster and Cayman T models have enjoyed critical acclaim and been a success with our customers," a Porsche spokeswoman told Road & Track.
Limited manufacturing stages are natural and part of the product strategy. These models will cease manufacturing in 2024, while all others will continue."
Porsche Motorsport, which makes 911 GT2 and GT3 models and the Cayman GT4 RS, made the GT4 and Spyder.
The 718 T vehicles were special Boxster and Cayman variants with pre-installed sports features and unique design. Style Editions replace those.
The GT4 and Spyder were likely the last naturally aspirated, manual-transmission Cayman and Boxster models, thus their deaths are exceptionally painful.
The all-electric 718 will replace the flat-six, mid-engine Porsche. The Style Editions don't equal the T models' Porsche value. All three will stay popular.
