In recent months, Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant's verbal battle has escalated to a dangerous level.
The chances of the two having a direct conversation about it are likewise low. Barkley's recent appearance on 60 Minutes prompted the latest round of rhetorical fights between him and Durant.
Barkley has stated that he agrees with the consensus that Durant is an excellent basketball player, but he has also called the two-time NBA champion
"very sensitive" for his poor response to criticism. "He's very sensitive," Barkley remarked of Durant. Amazing performer. He belongs to the generation that views criticism as personal attack.
No matter how harsh the critique, he's never asked himself, "Man, is that a fair criticism?" Isn't it getting old, Chuck? For the record,
Durant told his followers on Twitter, "I will never respect the words that come out of ya mouth fam. Isn't this getting old for you, Chuck?
Since then, neither of them has shared much information about the other with us. This week, though, Durant was asked what he would say to
Barkley in an interview setting, say, the 2023 NBA Playoffs. This was a ridiculous idea, said the Phoenix Suns star.
To be frank, Durant stated, "I probably wouldn't sit down with Charles."
